Riley Lowndes
My name is Riley. I am an artist and educator living and working in the Hudson Valley. My work is built on a practice of noticing, documenting moments that are often overlooked. Though individually fragments, these works come together to weave a portrait of the soul of the land that I love so dearly.
The Sanctity of Green tells a story of returning. The pieces describe the cyclical time of growth after a period of darkness and the gentle persistence of green, growing things. For me these works represent a homecoming—a peaceful return to both place and to self.
