Art At The Kent Library

Herberto Turizzo Anaya, has been painting for over 52 years and has been a part of New York City's El Taller Latino Americano's long history. Alongside his exhibitions have been stand-out projects like his work on the Public MTA Mural project for the Second Avenue Subway Station in 1988, which was later relocated to Hostos Community College in the Bronx and is still available for viewing.
Anaya has exhibited in a multitude of locations including Columbia, South America, England, and various parts of the United States, including Florida and New York. He is a regular participant in the art shows held by Arts on the Lake, in Lake Carmel NY, which have been curated by Roy Volpe for the past fifteen years. Anaya has also exhibited at the Mahopac Library's group shows for the past several years.
In June, 2022 he participated in a group show called Urban Tribes, at the Valerie Goodman Gallery on East 91st Street, NYC, which was sponsored by the Taiwanese American Arts Council. The series of Urban Tribes projects attempted to raise awareness towards the threats to our land and environment. The Second Venue for this show, From Urban Reverence to Urban Divergence, also in June, 2022 was held in the old Pfizer Building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
