Opens at Kent Library
“Wildcrafted” comes to the Kent Library with creations by artist, Athena Pallas. The exhibit features assemblages of natural materials.
Inspired by the wonders of the natural world, the artist uses insect wings, lichen bits, paper wasp nests, and sparkles of mica to enhance watercolor scenes. Also included are insects collected by Pallas as well as early field guides to insects.
Athena Pallas has exhibited widely and is a valued member of local artists’ groups.
The exhibit opens September 2nd and runs through the end of the month. It is sponsored by The Friends of Kent Library who support programs and equipment for the library and conduct a legendary book sale every spring.
